Daniel and I met when he was 18, and I was 14. It was love at first sight...but an age gap that meant nothing was ever going to happen...and nothing did.

That is, until Daniel returned from living in South Africa, and we began dating when I turned 18. 11 months later...we were engaged...and two months after that...we were married.

Only 11 months into our marriage, along came Gabriel, our firstborn. One thing lead to another, and there we were just 8½ years later with six children!

Dreaming of living an adventurous life, we set ourselves up for a lifelong adventure of travel, food and fun (that was...until Covid struck!), and now, we want to share our experiences with you, to encourage more families to look beyond the 'norm', and live life to the max!

We have scoured the streets of Florence in search of the best Gelato. Driven over 500 miles to buy a Pizza (true story). And travelled country to country in search of the best local, traditional food.

One of the most common questions we get asked is "How can you afford to travel with SO many kids." The answer is...be flexible. Budget travel can be amazing, as long as you're open-minded to the destination and accommodation.

Now that doesn't mean that you have to sleep in horrible dirty locations, it simply means that budget travel is possible, you just need to know what to look for. Should you take a ferry, fly on a plane, take the train. Or should you rent an AirBnB, stay in a family hostel, or even a tent!
